ANIMAL TRAVEL
The Veterinary Qualified Animal Travel Specialists
Making animal travel easy for your very important pet

International Travel
We are animal travel Specialists dedicated to the safety, health and comfort of your pet, whilst in our care.

Each country has different requirements relating to the importation of domestic pets.

If your pet is travelling overseas, we can supply you with details pertaining to veterinary requirements and protocols for your pet's particular destination as well as advice for the re-importation of your pet should you be returning in the future.

Please email us at info@animaltravel.com.au or phone
+61 2 4572 7736 for more information.

You will need an appropriate IATA approved travel crate for your pets which we supply as part of our complete service. For dogs this means a crate big enough to allow the dog to stand and turn around. Please see our section on crates and preparing for more information.

Your crate will be fitted with a water container inside the door and a funnel outside allowing the animal to be watered en route after the crate is sealed.

Departing Australia
Depending on your destination you may need to have your pet vaccinated for Rabies as much as six months in advance (e.g. for travel to the UK) even though this disease is not present in Australia. Travel to the USA will probably require a stopover in LA after the long flight. Travel to New Zealand for dogs requires blood tests. Please email us on info@animaltravel.com.au or phone (02) 4572 7736 for more information.

Entering Australia
You will need to have your pets in Quarantine in Australia for a minimum of 30 days on arrival depending on the country of origin. 30 days is now quite common after home-country quarantine is enforced reducing stress for the animal and costs for you. Quarantine facilities are available in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. See www.aqis.gov.au for information on requirements. Once your pet has completed quarantine we can arrange interstate transportation if required. Please email us on info@animaltravel.com.au or phone +61 2 4572 7736 for more information.
